When it had shows like

G4tv.con, Filter, Judgment Day, Pulse, Electric Playground, and Screen Savers.


Now it just sucks so bad. It's like a bad Spike TV clone with endless marathons of Cops and Cheaters.

The only show watch now are X-Play (which is not as good as it used to be) and occasionally AOTS.

Edit: Oh and E3 coverage.

Me and a guy I work with were talking about this today. I only tuned it in again for E3 coverage. May do Comic-Con too, and any adult conventions they do. But yeah, it's utter crap now. As soon as they added Cops and Cheaters, I knew it was over. Now there's a goddam movie almost every night. Just pull the plug on it, G4.

Goddam, I miss Laura Foy. :(

I only watch G4 for AotS and sometimes X-Play (both Adam and Morgan look bored to tears on that show). I'll watch Cops once in awhile, s*** can get funny sometimes.

Also Game On was a really cool show. Starcade was really fun to watch too.

But I miss Portal so damn much. I feel it's like if MST3K happened and no one noticed.

Yeah, it really depends on what's on. I'll watch AotS if they have something worthwhile on, or depending on who's hosting (i've been enjoying the past couple weeks w/out Olivia :P) and i'll also watch the occasional show here and there, but that's about it. I don't even watch X-Play anymore, and I remember being nuts over Morgan back then (kind of like I am now with Alison, heh)

Luckily, I can still watch EP and Judgment Day (of course known as Reviews on the Run) online, so yay for me!

I know for a fact that Tina Wood works for Microsoft now.

And if anything, Geoff Keighley was the member of G4tv.com that got the most help from the show being canceled. I mean, look at what he's doing now, he's the host of GameTrailersTV, the host of GameTrailers' Bonus Round round table discussion show, he's a freelance writer for various blogs and magazines, he was the one picked to defend Mass Effect 1 on Fox News, AND to top it all off, the dude does most of the interviews that are featured on GameStop's in store "show" GameStop TV.

In other words, Geoff Keighley was able to become more or less the face of video game journalism thanks to G4tv.com being canceled.

Kind of a weird thing for me was that I loved ZDTV and I loved G4 when it first came on but I felt thoroughly indifferent toward TechTV, as I do now toward G4(TechTV).

It seemed like most of my favorite things about ZDTV were either gone, being phased out, recast or revised (the logo, the cool ad spots, Tilde, Zip File, The Money Machine, Big Thinkers, Call for Help, Silicon Spin, Internet Tonight, Lauren Fielder, Kate Botello), and I despised the monotony of TechLive replacing the diverse creativity of ZDTV's schedule. I always felt I was watching something very special with ZDTV and I felt none of that with TechTV.

I loved G4 when it first came on too. When it merged with TechTV most of what I liked about G4 was gone, and now the synthesis of 2 unique TV channels I really loved is entirely unrecognizable.

I liked Tech TV before G4 came and ruined it and made it into some bad comedy network. At least they still have Reviews on the Run and Electric Playground.

I usually just watch G4 for Ninja Warrior and convention coverage now. I got fed up with X-Play's "let's fawn all over every other upcoming FPS and laugh at JRPG and anime fans" attitude after a while.

TechTV was a channel I was just warming up to before the merger. Between X-Play, Call for Help and Screen Savers, there were some AWESOME television shows. I knew the death knell was spelt on TECH when the merger happened.

And X-Play is just plain sad now. What was once a refreshing look at game reviews became a boring "blah blah blah" anymore. Not even worth it to see if Morgan showed her legs or not.

My wifeand I really used to dig watching AOTS a few years back. It was really crappy and low budget looking, and reminded us of old school 80's MTV.

Now it's all polished looking, and they talk about real news and stuff. Haven't watched in ages.

TechTV was amazing, to me. The entire channel seemed to embrace the fact they were geeks and that they appealed to geeks. In the years since the G4 merger, they have done everything they can to say, "Yeah, we like video games but dammit, geeks are cool and have washboard abs and hang with chicks with big boobs on a regular basis!" It just comes off as fake, and Adam Sessler is their one remaining link to credibility, as sad as that is.
