The initial membership consists of scholars who submitted paper proposals for the first round of Feminist Security Studies (FSS) papers (organized by Laura J. Shepherd & Annick T.R. Wibben) for the 2008 International Studies Association Convention in San Francisco, CA - but membership is open to all interested scholars.
Since 2007, two members of the group have organized a series of Feminist Security Studies panels at the annual ISA conferences -
ISA 2008 (San Francisco): Annick T.R. Wibben and Laura J. Shepherd
ISA 2009 (New York): Swati Parashar and Megan MacKenzie
ISA 2010 (New Orleans): Jennifer Pedersen and Laura Sjoberg
ISA 2011 (Montreal): Natalie F. Hudson and Annick T.R. Wibben
ISA 2012 (San Diego): Nikki Detraz and Jillian Terry
ISA 2013 (San Francisco): Melanie Richter-Montpetit and Annick T.R. Wibben
ISA 2014 (Toronto): Lauren Wilcox and Annick T.R. Wibben
ISA 2015 (New Orleans): Laura J. Shepherd and Sharain Naylor
ISA 2016 (Atlanta): Maria Martin de Almagro, Yolande Bouka & Sharain Naylor
- and different teams will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Look out for the CFP sometime in April and let us know if you want to be involved!
