      Here's a real-world fantasy come true, and a book you'd probably
      like.

On Christmas day in 1979, terminally-ill 22 year old Will Allen
presented family members with a manuscript titled, "Swords for
Hire," a short, funny fantasy adventure inspired by Allen's love of
William Goldman's "The Princess Bride." Over 20 years later, as
Allen's brother, Paul, was reading the story to his daughters he
      decided to publish the book.

"Swords for Hire" has just been published, and it has received over
      20 rave reviews, including http://www.sfsite.com/07b/sh156.htm

Astoundingly, the self-published "Swords for Hire" has just been
chosen for the "Top 10 best Sci-Fi / Fantasy picks for Fall 2003" by
      the American Booksellers Association.
