Some people, like me, "really" think that you can torture a dog without doing anything morally wrong or anything deserving of guilt. (Though I don't know why one would want to.)
Argument by "I don't believe anyone really holds that position, including you" is kind of silly. You should accept that people disagree with you, and try to give criticism of their views other than incredulity.
