      Daniel,
James does 16.5 gauged wheels as well if I recall correctly, etching axleboxes is as easy as pie, depending on what type of axlebox you need, if it is a square shaped type which were common on skips here in Australia, if they need to be the same as the skips which Claus posted photos of, then they are probably even easier, I only need to etch a hasp strap, NWSL make a suitable brass bearings which can be used and I will just etch an end cap for detail on the end face
You can see photos of some Fox bogies I made in 1/48th scale, other then the wheels and axles the bogies are entirely etched, the axleboxes even have provision for a small felt pad to be put in the bottom to allow the axles to be oiled continuously:

Like I said earlier today, if someone can direct me to a decent drawing with dimensions and any photos of the real thing, I can etch them and make them as fully working as well.

That would be great news for many of us but you can´t solve some parts by etching. I mean for example and mainly the axleboxes.
Rolff Thonner used to sel beautiful ones but he has no more since a couple of years.
The only relative easy way I see would be Shapeways 3DP and accepting the risico of bad prints.
Of course that sounds terrible but isn´t: if one counts a 50% of bad prints -what appears reasonable to me- printing the axleboxes would still be in price.
For pin-point axles the Alan Gibson  shouldered bushing being sold by Markits aren´t expensive and  are good stuff.

James Coldicott is selling beautiful prototypical O&K wheels which come with axles AND bushing.
The axles are for 19mm gauge but all one need to do to regauge them is to push the wheels to the right place.

      Claus,
If you can point me to a decent set of drawings with dimensions, I will do the artwork to etch them in 1/35th scale, I am about to head north again for the crushing season, so I can do any hands on modelling, but I can do plenty of drawing and design during this time of year.

All: Indeed we need a skip built to the German DIN-standard or one of the earlier predecessors, like O&K. The most humble and normal piece of rolling stock on an industrial railway that once existed in huge numbers all over Europe (and other parts of the world as well). I've been missing a decent scale model of a standard skip for years. My fleet of skips consists of two rakes of rebuilt Scale Link skips and one rake of Slaters'. The Scale Link skips are all rebuilt, the newest rather much, to better resemble standard European skips. I'd buy two new rakes (15) skips to replace the Scale Link ones as soon as a 1:35 kit would be available. Skips really are 'signature' vehicles on my railway! I have been working a lot on skips lately, so I'll be able to help with measurements, drawings etc. in much the same way as Arnoud. See how I rebuilt a few Scale Link kits into something that resembles European skips a little more than the original kits:http://nystrupgravel.blogspot.dk/2012/08/relaxing-with-modelling.htmlhttp://nystrupgravel.blogspot.dk/2012/08/two-braked-skips-at-last.html And an example of the Rugga-type in Danish service:http://nystrupgravel.blogspot.dk/2012/08/the-forgotten-skip.html I hope Mark Hesketh is reading... Best regards Claus
