  • From the comments on the article, it sounds like there is a significant amount of pessimism regarding the idea. That is too bad, as that region really needs an industrial stimulus.

  • As you may be aware, I'm working on replicating the FJ&G in HO Scale. I've published the final track plan, along with some comparison screenshots from Paul Charland's simulated route. http://fjglayout.wordpress.com/ I'd love to hear your feedback!

With regards to the 44 Tonner, I can't seem to find any model that has doors on the ends as opposed to grills. Does anyone have a recommendation as to what brand I could use for a #30?

  • Barbara, I have a video I created about the FJ&G in Microsoft Train Simulator. You can view it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfHMZRcxJoQ If it would be helpful, I could send this to you on DVD for exhibiting. Let me know what would work best: etozorak@^$1 Nick

  • Thanks for that information Paul. Does anyone have photos of these cars in service? I've only seen photos of them parked.

  • Welcome Phillip! I'm curious about these models - do you choose the base locomotive (manufacturer of S2) and send it to him to paint? If you don't mind, roughly how much would it cost? Does Milepost Hobbies have a website?

  • We cross our fingers. It will be interesting to see how they plan to build around the supercenter.
