Stenciling on the side of the caboose indicates it was built in May of 1911, manufacturer unk.  Acquired by the FJ&G from the Lehigh and New England  August 1929, going into service on August 22, 1929.  It was rebuilt in the company shops Sept. 1934 and again in January 1950.  Retired in May of 1958 following the purchase of caboose #3 from D&H and sent to the Shelburne Museum in Vermont.   It's been gone from the museum for several years now.  Where it went or whether it was destroyed I know not.  There are stories that it is at another location in Vermont which someone will have to confirm.
