PALMYRA, N.Y. (AP) - Crews are cleaning up the scene of a freight train
derailment after 20 cars hauling coal left the tracks in western New York.

Wayne County sheriff's deputies say the 85-car CSX train was traveling east
when it derailed around 12:35 a.m. Wednesday in Palmyra, 20 miles east of
      Rochester.

      No injuries are reported.

Deputies say the derailment caused extensive damage to the tracks and sent
tons of coal spilling onto the ground. Authorities say the train was headed
to Fort Drum in northern New York.

CSX officials say a faulty axle may have caused the derailment, but the
      investigation is continuing.
