Train kills man painting graffiti on bridge
INDUSTRY, Calif. - A freight train struck and killed a man who police said was painting graffiti on a bridge, according to the Whittier Daily News.

The man was hit on the bridge that runs over the San Gabriel River north of Valley Boulevard and west of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway on Sunday afternoon, said sheriff's Sgt. Shannon Laren.

The man was not identified as of late Monday (Feb. 28).

"It was pretty messy out there,' Laren said. "It appears to be an accident.'

The Union Pacific Mainline train was about a mile long and traveling at about 55 mph.
