      • Featured: Quantum

Tunnel Magnetoresistance -- the TMR Effect - Tunneling is a word used in quantum mechanics to describe the behavior of atoms when they apparently can jump across some sort of a "barrier". ...When these magnons are created, electrons may quantum tunnel from one piece of magnetic material to another piece of magnetic material. This is the way the Tunnel Magnetoresistance effect works. (PESWiki; May 1, 2013)
      • Nuclear > Fission

Texas A&M Physicist Pursues Green Nuclear Power Technology - According to Peter McIntyre, two of America's most pressing energy challenges - what to do with radiotoxic spent nuclear fuel and dwindling energy resources - can be solved by a technology that is capable of both destroying the dangerous waste and, at the same time, potentially providing safe nuclear power for thousands of years into the future. • Storage > Batteries > Lithium-Sulphur

New battery design could help solar and wind power the grid - Stanford researchers have demonstrated a partially liquid battery made of inexpensive lithium and sulfur. Allegedly, it will be easy to make and will last for thousands of charging cycles. The material and manufacturing costs of the battery might be low enough to meet the goal of $100 per kilowatt-hour of storage capacity, which will make the it economically attractive to utilities. • Humor > Electrolysis

BoredShortsTV does Kid Snippet on Hydroxy - Yahoo! I get to introduce you to one of my favorite entertainment / down-time YouTube channels by a group here in Utah, BoredShortsTV, who have been cranking out some hilarious videos in which kids voices tell a story line, and the adults act out the story line, lip-syncing with the kids’ audio. In this one, they run an electrolysis system. (PureEnergyBlog; April 28, 2013)

Sterling on Garry Nolan's Evidence of Atacama Specimen being Hybrid Humanoid - Nolan did not conclude that the specimen is definitively "human." It seems to me that the terminology that could be most applicable is "hybrid." Use a little common sense, combined with the in-depth scientific analysis that has been done, and you will agree that this specimen does indeed constitute proof that we are not alone. • Tesla Coil

TeslaTronix - Tesla Power For The Masses - Boasting one of the most simple Tesla coil driving circuits ever, TT makes wireless electricity simple, easy, and cheap for everyone. Kickstarter fundraiser sought $2,500 and raised $38,946 with 463 backers. One of the videos shows a 9-volt battery powering the coil during Hurricane Sandy aftermath, powering a CFL.
