Defkalion lying low, preparing for some big splashes - Defkalion is tackling around 20 major applications of their LENR reactor through contracts with several licensees, including some major players. Price point expected to be around 1/10 of what we presently pay for power. First product expected by second quarter 2014. Public reactor demo expected for NI Week in August. (PESN; April 4, 2013)

      • Fuel Efficiency > Engines

GE awards leading innovators in clean energy technology - This was brought to my attention by Angelo DiPietro of Engineair, who is the first company listed in this story about the winners of the Ecomangination contest. I interviewed DiPietro on Dec. 9, 2006, and we at the New Energy Congress listed his technology in our Top 100 listing. Perhaps we could account this as "good bird-dogging" on future trends and technologies. (PureEnergyBlog; April 2, 2013)

Brainstorm: Publish Yildiz Test Propeller Specs - What would be the easiest and most credible way to calibrate the output of the propeller that Mr. Yildiz plans to have attached to his motor, will be to publish the exact specs of the propeller so that multiple laboratories can generate a curve of performance (rpm v watts load), from low rpm (1000) to high (3000) rpm. • Wind

Bladeless Windmill from Delft - This structure, installed at the Delft University of Technology, is a model of a machine that would convert wind to energy without any moving parts -- any mechanical moving parts, at least. The technology, developed by the Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science faculty at Delft, uses the movement of electrically charged water droplets to generate power.(PureEnergyBlog; April 1, 2013)
