Every year, the Extensive Reading Foundation recognizes the best new works of language learner literature in English. This year, from graded readers published in 2012, the ERF judges have chosen three finalist titles in each of 5 categories: Young Learners, and 4 Adolescent & Adult categories-Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate/Advanced.

The ERF will later select one winner in each category, taking into account the votes and comments of students and teachers of English worldwide.

To encourage teachers and students to read and evaluate the books, the ERF, in cooperation with publishers, has a Finalist Evaluation Programme. In each category, two copies each of the three finalist titles are placed in the hands of 10 classes around the world. Successful applicants will receive the books soon after the finalists have been announced mid-April 2013, at the IATEFL annual conference in Liverpool.

If you wish to participate in this year's evaluation programme, please go to http://erfoundation.org/moodle/course/view.php?id=5, logging in as "giveaway" with "giveaway" as the password, and fill in all of the fields.  The preliminary deadline for applications is  20 March 2013.  You will be notified of your acceptance into the program by March 30.

      Collegially,
Tom Robb, ERF LLL Award Evaluation Program Coordinator
