      Well look at this!
repairs for three naval facilities in Mississippi damaged by Hurricane Katrina
even BEFORE help arrived in New Orleans ---

      Halliburton hired for storm cleanup

The Navy has hired Houston-based Halliburton Co. to restore electric power, repair roofs and remove debris at three naval facilities in Mississippi damaged by Hurricane Katrina.

Halliburton subsidiary KBR will also perform damage assessments at other naval installations in New Orleans as soon as it is safe to do so.

KBR was assigned the work under a "construction capabilities" contract awarded in 2004 after a competitive bidding process. The company is not involved in the Army Corps of Engineers' effort to repair New Orleans' levees.

New Orleans is a bad place to be poor.

New Orleans officials issued an almost cynical evacuation order in a city where they know full well that thousands have no car, no money for airfare or an interstate bus, no credit cards for hotels, and therefore no way to leave town before the deadly storm and flood arrived.

How the Free Market Killed New Orleans :

Everyone was expected to devise their own way out of the disaster area by private means, just as the free market dictates, just like people do when disaster hits free-market Third World countries.

Brown pushed from last job: FETA chief had to be 'asked to resign':

The federal official in charge of the bungled New Orleans rescue was fired from his last private-sector job overseeing horse shows.

the following from Yahoo news ---

The New Orleans Times-Picayune, in an open letter, called upon Bush to fire every official at the Federal Emergency Management Agency.   [Jay comment --- It's not going to happen.]

It takes a Democrat to clean up the Republican mess ---
The Democratic governor of Louisiana hires former Democratic head of FEMA.
      Jay comments ---
Yes, the haves have moved on and bought houses elsewhere.  Baton Rouge is "sold out".  Houses and office space.  ALL New Orleans law firms, accounting firms, engineering firms -- all the "professionals" are gone.  Probably for good, money, ever.  Chase Manhattan Bank bought up a complete new subdivision still under construction in Baton Rouge to house all its employees.  [source: a report on NPR]
In New Orleans many of the poor died.  They had no means to escape.  The ones that survived -- and there are tens of thousands -- will, at Republican reluctance,  receive "public" (government) support for a while.  Then dropped.
This tragedy happened -- the levees broke -- because of George Bush and his selfish cuttax Republicans.
The House and Senate should change to Democratic majorities November 2006.  But I seriously doubt that will happen.

      BUSH'S ROBERTS-FOR-CHIEF PLOY -- a Black Day for America

bringing up the rear of today's NEWS are these sick, sickening paragraphs from a newsletter/website that will remain anonymous ---
Too bad Hurricane Katrina didn't wait a week to strike, when it could have caught over 125,000 drunken homosexuals in the streets of the French Quarter, gathered for their annual Labor Day "Southern Decadence" festival and "engaging in sex acts in the public streets and bars," just as they do every year.  They would have had an opportunity to learn a whole new meaning for the term "public sex act" from all those Black ex-cons roaming the streets of New Orleans.

Kind of puts you in mind of the Biblical account of Sodom and Gomorrah, doesn't it?

After watching endless videos of looting all day yesterday, looting committed exclusively by Blacks, suddenly today there is nothing about looting.  I wondered how long it would take for the kommissars of political correctness to put an end to the boundless display of black depravity.  Actually, I figured they would find at least one white looter to videotape and put that into endless replay.  I'm sure they looked, but couldn't find one.  Come on, admit it.  You know they would be running tapes of white looters if any existed.

      Bigotry runs deep.
How conveniently the above writer ignores King Solomon and his hundreds of wives and concubines.
And he will ignore the following question ---
Does anyone know of a book or paper describing/comparing the genocide committed by Josiah/Israelites against the Canaanites and the United States against native Americans?
Both are similar -- a group of people invade, steal the land and kill off all the people who are in the invaders' way.
Happy Labor Day, he said, sarcastically.
