      Mention of EW in Sir Alan Campell's obit. To wit:

      Every now and then Campbell caught himself behaving
      uncannily like Sir Samson Courtney, the British
      ambassador to the Empire of Azania in Evelyn Waugh's
      novel Black Mischief, indulging in little absurdities
      of opinion and pomposities of manner. Campbell found
      Black Mischief — which was unmentionable in Ethiopia
      at the time — to be a very shrewdly observed satire.
