To my surprise, when I opened it, the PSU look like it had been stripped of its components? The caps, regulators, fuse holders, everything was dismantled. Horrible sight, solder pads lifted, burn marks, the whole deal. I might take the liberty to repair it myself, since most components are common, but with the pads lifted, I might be SOL. What a shame... But at least I have an powerless EPS for $50...There's nothing particularly magic about them, is there? It's probably easier to build a replacement, especially if you use off-the-shelf SMPSU modules.
It would probably run a lot cooler, too.
