A BIG Goodie to Start Off the New Year - 2010
- Attached is an image (poor quality) of a photograph that I took of the ORIGINAL Letter from Matthew Craddock (London) to Governor John Endecott (IN the MBC--Naumkeag/Salem). I had the opportunity to view it in the Archives at the New England Historical Genealogical Society (NEHGS) in Boston. It was treated with white gloves and no copying and no camera flash. It was fascinating to see this original letter where Craddock referred to Endecott in the letter by Cousin, several times and each time the word Cousin was spelled differently. The archivists told me that this was common in old English writtings. Thought I would share it with you as I was going through some of my collection of Endecott goodies.
