I tried the top part a couple of times, but I just couldn't get the right fit on Isabella. I finally gave up and grabbed a tank top which fit her and used that as the top part of the pattern, but left the neckline pretty much like the origninal pattern. Then I tried to use the pattern for the sleeves, but the fabric I wanted to use wasn't wide enough, so I narrowed it quite a bit. Then I just by-guess-and-by-golly figured out the skirts on my own.
This seems to be the way my sewing often turns out. Had I given it a bit more time, things would have been done more evenly. She likes it and it will
likely become the inspiration for another gown or two.
