- Reading the thread, there seems to be two questions, one is for dead bug style circuits, those with no PC board, just wires in the air.
for the arts type of use, try making up some wires, laying, not wrapped, then conncet one to a bucket and see how much you can lift before it breaks. you will be surprised. then try wrapping the wires and test that connection.
if you want another way, you can take an LED, take your tiny end of your needle nose, cut the lead close to the LED and make aloop of the end till it is touching the plastic. slip in your resistor all the way and bend that leg all the way around, align so will be in the right place when you are done.
not exactly what I am talking about, but you can see how tight you can get things.
another neat thing is liquid tape. you paint it on instead of wrapping it, and it works when you cannot get heat shrink to work.
