New to this qroup + question
My name is Mia and i live in Sweden. I'm 41 years old (for another
month anyway), I live with my husband our two sons, 11 and 13 years
old... two cats and a gang of dust bunnies... I run a Quilt Shop and
have been addicted to quilting for quite some time...
A couple of weeks ago I received EQ6. I have been using Quilt Pro
before and EQ6 has a totally different way to approach things. I have
tried to be patient and gone through some of the lessons... but I want
to start drawing my own blocks... and so far so good.
BUT... how do I save a block???? Is there any way that I can create a
folder for my own blocks, or can I only save them in the so called
sketchbook? I have tried to find the answer in the manual, but can't
find it... maybe if i look again after posting this I'll find it... hm!
Well... I'm sure I'll learn a lot from this group... and eventually be
able to contribute with help myself... :-)
Greetings from Sweden,
Since you have both programs, which one do you like better? Which do you think is more user friendly and has more features? I am just curious to know. Welcome"

>Hehe... well since I have had Quilt Pro from the fisrt version and
have spent only a few hours with EQ6 I must say I like Quilt Pro
better... but that has more to do with the fact that I don't know
anything about EQ6 yet... Give me some time and I might be able to
decide which one I prefer.
But so far... They both have their goodies. EQ6 has a few things
that QP doesn't have... and the other way around... I am still to
explore that... :-)
The main reason why I purchased EQ6 was to be able to make Twisted
Log cabins without having to draw them by hand.... so that's what
I'm playing with at the moment... I just have to figure out how to
save my own blocks...
Greetings from Sweden,
Saving blocks fabric etc is easy once you figure it
You will find everything you need to know about adding
libraries blocks fabric stash and palettes here in
the help section under My Library Basics.
My Library Basics
Creating custom libraries in the My Library section
(formerly User Libraries) lets you save your favorite
items in a library so you can use them anytime you use
EQ6. This is a great way to save blocks you've drawn,
blocks created using the Serendipity feature, imported
fabrics and photos, and any of your most frequently
