Group Description

The Economic Reform Group is a place to discuss MAJOR Economic Reforms that would lead to a better life for the most people.
It includes, but is not limited to: Monetary Reform (e.g. Re-issuing debt-free United States Notes); State Banking (e.g. The Bank of North Dakota); Tax reform (e.g. the Single Tax on location & resource use/abuse, untaxing factors of production: wages, sales & true capital).

We believe that an economy exists to provide for Humans, not the other way around, and that COMPREHENSIVE & FUNDAMENTAL reform is necessary to provide a better quality of life for the majority of citizens. We further believe that these goals are consistent with American values & aspirations. We do NOT believe the current economic model is consistent with them, and it must be changed to provide a just, ecologically & economically sustainable, path to the future.
We are NOT driven by ego & will happily link & refer to great thinkers (and websites), however unconventional, of the day & the past to support our theories (e.g. Stephen Zarlenga, Ellen Brown, Henry George).
We respect & encourage diversity of opinion but do not tolerate ad hominem attacks, slander, or verbal abuse.
