      Giant Sign Plans

vehicles (including trailers - Wells Cargo for example)

Here's an idea to help in the use of public space for public education on the
      anti-war movement's thoughts.

      Material:
      - 11' X 15' blue, plastic industrial tarp with aluminum grommets every 20".
      (any discount hardware store)
      - 4" X 4" Jute for backing
      - nylon fishing line to cover front of plastic sign for reducing flapping in
      wind.
      - cotton cord, rope, nylon rope
      - white cotton or red cotton rags
      - sewing machine
      - scissors
      - dyes, paints

Construction (Do not cut plastic tarp - can be used for more actions)
Placing tarp on ground, fold into desired size without cutting.
Place cotton (vinyl or other materials) toward middle.
Cut or otherwise shape cotton materials into international No sign.
Cut or otherwise shape cotton materials into the words No Wars.
Mark outline for cut material on plastic vinyl surface – the side to be
      shown.

Sewing (or glue if you can)
Sew cotton material onto blue plastic tarp and double stitch where possible.
Note: Material should be double or triple thick where stitches are sewn.

Sign Placement (8' X 10' enclosed, single axle trailer)
Tie,  with double knots, rope to 3 or more grommets.
Throw rope over top of trailer and pull under trailer.
Tie, with double knots, rope ends to 3 or more grommets.  (Note: if grommets
are no longer available because they were folded into the fabric during the
      construction phase,
it is possible to fold and tie bottom of sign; you may also use small washers on each side of the blue fabric.  Place
appropriately sized bolt into both washers, through vinyl sign.  Tighten bolt
      to correctly sized nut.)
Tie additional areas of material as found with rope and twine.  Twine allows
for "fine tunning" the signs placement while helping to reduce its movement
      during transportation.
      Place 1" X 1" X 6' pine on 4 ends to produce a frame. Small screws through
your vehicle or trailer would be nice; however, if not acceptable, find a
means for tying these wood strips to secure areas to create a securing frame
      for your propaganda.

      Outcome
When properly constructed and placed, this sign will withstand normal driving
conditions up to 35 mph and higher, depending upon other conditions.
It will provide a large sign platform for your important anti-war message
that competes well with the corporate propaganda signs.
