- Apr 8, 2014Maybe there needs to be a petition to LADOT general manager Jon Kirk Mukri regarding observation of the placards, informing LADOT employees of the "promises" that were made, on-going enforcement, etc.The community could hire it's own traffic engineering consultant to produce an evaluation and mitigation plan. There are a few that do represent neighborhoods in issues such as this. Historically, City agencies only respect and respond to the written analyses of "expert" engineers.Don't let this issue divide and conquer our neighborhoods. We all have the same concerns and are strongest when united.

Many of us rely on Academy Road for parking. The Dodgers traffic has already impacted neighbors in a tremendously negative way. We have nobody directing traffic at the corner of Morton Avenue and Academy Road, or at Academy Road and Elysian Park after the games. I don't think I need to repeat all the hazards this brings to our streets.
To ask for Scott to be blocked without addressing broader neighborhood issues is to leave those of us near Academy Road even more heavily impacted. Please don't throw us under the bus ... I mean, under the Dodgers fan traffic.
