Spreadsheet numeric cells are converted to zoned fields, whereas character cells are converted to character fields.

Please check if your “numeric” cells are really defined as such.

In case you need further help, send your spreadsheet to gb_perotti@... .

      Oggetto: [Easy400Group] XLSTABLE command issue

I have been using this command for about 9 months. It works great, most of the time. Lately, it seems to have inconsistent results for this one particular spreadsheet that I receive from a vendor and have to parse into my system. The spreadsheets are the exact same, to the eye anyway, but will map these four numeric fields map to either an alpha field sometimes, or a 30 byte 6 decimal place zoned field. I cant figure out how those fields are different in the spreadsheet. So I have to jump through hoops to get the program to behave correctly without getting CPYF mapping errors.

So, the bottom line is, does anyone have any advice on how to deal with numeric fields using the XLSTABLE command?

      Thanks!
