I've created a bunch of PDF documents with color logos using the AFPRSC keyword.  They are all stored in an IFS folder.

I can read the contents of the directory (using "readdir") using an RPGLE program, but I don't know how I can then print all of the PDFs in the directory on a network color laser printer.  To be clear, from an RPG program, I want to print the PDFs, NOT the AFP print files that created the PDFs.

      Any suggestions?

      Thanks in advance.

          Hello All,

          I use batchprintpro.(http://www.traction-software.co.uk/batchprint/index.html)
It handles multiples directories and printers.
It can work with a share on the as400 but for safety reasons i ftp the documents to a server this program is always running on.

          My experience was:
          - the acrobat command line works well but as soon there is an error in printing it all stops.
          - It is nice if you want to print one or more documents to the same printer. if the acobat proces didn't stop correctly it will send it's print to the same printer as when the process started.
          - the ifs is down (due to backup or so) the acrobat doesn't work anymore so that's why i switched to a 60dollar solutions that does all.

          success

            Hello Bruce,

Our iSeries Office Integrator Software can accomplish this.

with the OFCPDFPRT command. Your RPG program can control the printing process all the way thru.

If you're interested in more info, check out our web site or contact our sales team for a FREE demo.

We can also auto-assemble several PDF files into a single document for printing or distribution if needed.
