- May 14, 2017Yes, we've certainly seen a lot more teams built around nationalities or geographical areas, such as the Paladins, Les Defenseurs, the Bushrangers, and other not-yet-named teams. I actually think that this is part of Doctor Mist's overall strategy, to make the Global Guardians more effective by having such affiliated local teams taking care of different parts of the globe. After all, a larger team spread thinly across the globe can't possibly be as effective as a team whose members can easily meet together on a regular basis, or even live together in the same headquarters in some cases. Mobilization would always be an issue for the Global Guardians under the older model, as would national interests versus international interests.Doctor Mist even hinted that he had some kind of grand scheme during a brief appearance in a Paladins story, and I've always thought the local teams idea was something he would want to back. Oh, he may not have been the instigator for each team, but I'm sure he would approach each of the teams to offer them an affiliation with the Global Guardians with all the perks included. That is what I planned to do with the Conglomerate team at some point, if I ever get back to telling the story of that team's quick rise (and sharp downfall).-- Cheers, Doc Quantum

Thanks alot Doc, I hope I'll see it added to the site someday soon. So far, I have uploaded two stories, and I think both went fairly well.
I agree that the Global Guardians could go on a recruiting spree, but there will also be lost more individual hero teams abroad, and individual heroes having adventures on their own. I look forward, for example, to the day when Don Juan meets Jolt and the the Spanish Green Arrow for the first time. - << Previous post in topic
