Group Description

If you are an Eagle Scout, became an Eagle Scout, or are an Eagle Scout active in Scouting in Nassau County NY. you are welcome to join our group.

We are the Arthur R. Eldred Chapter of The National Eagle Scout Association in the Theodore Roosevelt Council BSA.

We meet the 3rd Monday every odd month except July.

Eagle Recognition Event

Our traditional Eagle Recognition Event will be Sunday, January 7 1-4PM at the Garden City Hotel, honoring the Council's new Eagle Scouts from April 1, 2016 to the end of 2017. This is following our new brunch format, and it's going to be an exciting time. The new Eagles get to attend the event for free as a guest of the Chapter and our sponsors. Adults can attend the event as a sponsor for $150 (to cover your brunch plus that of one of the new Eagles), with higher levels of sponsorship available for those who want to make a deeper commitment to Scouting. Dress is Class A Field Uniform for the new Eagles and business attire for the sponsors. Parents of new Eagles are welcome to become sponsors for the event. RSVP for the event is December 11. If you have any questions, you can contact Julio Garcia at the Council Service Center (516-797-7600 julio.garcia@scouting.org), or our Chapter Chair Jerry Katz (516-318-5594 heatdoc@optonline.net).
