Group Description

This group is purely for mothers who have to exclusively express milk for their babies.
This group is not for mothers who choose to pump exclusively; nor is it for mums who pump part-time and nurse part-time. It is only for mothers of babies who are completely unable to nurse.

Many of us are grieving the loss of a nursing relationship and need a space where everyone else present understands and is sensitive to these issues. Reasons for expressing might include a special needs baby, cleft palate, premature baby, or a baby who just can't latch no matter what.

Topics of discussion may include general pumping advice, advice on maintaining a milk supply, the ins and outs of different pumps, psychological support, vents, rants, joys; the ups and downs of everyday life when EPing.

All new membership applications are auto-emailed a request to send an full introductory email. Please ignore the Yahoo Groups "reason for joining" box when applying; this feature is redundant in this group. Please note that your intro (though not necessarily your email delivery) must be from a "real" ISP email account, not a free webmail account. If the list moderator does not receive your introductory email, your membership application will time out and be automatically denied. You are welcome to re-apply and send your introduction at any time.

If you are looking for a group to assist part-time pumping mums or EPers-by-choice, check out the yahoogroup Pumpmoms. The iVillage EPers board may also be of use to EPers-by-choice.

Please read the Posting Guidelines carefully when joining. Thanks!
