The Montana Department of Commerce is developing the Annual Action Plan for affordable
housing, public facilities and community economic development for the plan year beginning
April 1, 2003. The Plan, developed with information from local governments, public
agencies, non-profit organizations, and interested citizens throughout the State, is used
to identify needs and allocate resources to Montana communities and residents. The Plan
also serves as the annual application to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnerships (HOME), and
Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) programs. These grant programs were allocated more than $13
million for Montana communities in the coming year.
