Fallen Comrade of the Irish Republican Socialist Movement

      Johnny White
      Died on 27 April 2007

During Johnny White's long and distinguished career as a political
activist, he co-organised the civil rights march of 5 Oct 1968,
served on the Official Irish Republican Army Council, was officer
commanding of the OIRA's Derry Command, chairperson of the James
Connolly Republican Club, founding member of the Derry Citizens'
Defence Committee, active in the formation of the Derry Housing
Action Committee, took part in the many demonstrations of the
Unemployed Action Committee, founding member of the Irish Republican
Socialist Party and Irish National Liberation Army in 1974, member of
the IRSP's first national executive, the INLA's first adjutant
general, founding member of the Irish Committee for a Socialist
Programme and the Independent Socialist Party, and later a community

He died as he lived: a Republican Socialist. Remember him with honour
      and pride.
