Group Description

We are a friendly, easy-going group of 6-10 Edmonton adult gamers committed to playing DBA or Hott, once a month throughout the year. We typically arrive at 7:15pm and leave around 9:30pm, on the 2nd Tuesday each month. This allows time for setup, 2 games, and some hobnobbery. There is no cost. We meet at Dennis' house at 9104 77th Avenue, Edmonton, AB. New people are welcome. Email Mark at mark@toysoldiers.ca for more info.

Sept 9, 2012 - Battle Report

We had 100% attendance for our ongoing Hott campaign this month. We are seeing slow and steady progress. Dave and Terry have both conquered a mountains for themselves. In my desperate attack, Bruce came to Terry's aid and I was fighting with only 20APs. I was slaughtered. Dennis made an attack for another mountain and was defeated in a long, epic game against Dave and Bob. Nightfall occurred with Dennis losing and so it had to end. Chen-Song, Terry, Chris and Stu fought for honour and glory and ended with just that. At the end of the evening, the long-term casualties were: Scott - 1 Knight element; Mark - 1 Warband element.

We are finding a challenge with games going too long and we are going to have to find a way to keep them within a specific time period. Players are encouraged to focus on playing when the game is on, and save the longer philosophical/historical/fantasy/rules conversations for the end of the evening when minds are ripe for the picking.
