      Essex County EmComm
      Alert Status is now raised to MONITORING
      Based on the latest Winter Storm Warnings, issued on Wednesday afternoon by both the NWS Upton NY and the NWS Mt Holly NJ, the ARRL NNJ Section ARES Alert Status is now raised to MONITORING.
      With the potential for significant snow, of the wet/heavy kind, which can build up on utility lines as well as tree limbs that could fall on the same lines, with possible interruptions or failures of those power and communications related infrastructure items, as such, all ARES Members need to be aware of any local situations requiring Amateur Radio based EmComm support.
      Local ARES Leadership will make determinations, based on local needs and conditions, to further raise the Alert Status, if Served Agencies and partners request assistance, etc.
