      The New Jersey Regional Operations Intelligence Center (NJ ROIC) reports that the State Office of Emergency Management (NJ OEM) is monitoring a weather event in coordination with the National Weather Service (NWS).

      URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE
      NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY
      1133 AM EST WED FEB 11 2009

      ...POTENTIAL FOR DAMAGING WINDS THURSDAY...

      .DEEP LOW PRESSURE OVER THE MIDWEST WILL TRACK INTO THE EASTERN
      GREAT LAKES TONIGHT...THEN INTO THE BAY OF FUNDY THURSDAY
      EVENING. STRONG WESTERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP AS THE LOW
      INTENSIFIES AND TRACKS NORTHEAST OF THE REGION. SUSTAINED WINDS
      OF 25 TO 35 MPH ARE LIKELY. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR WIND GUSTS
      OF 50 TO 60 MPH AS STRONGER WINDS ALOFT MIX DOWN TO THE SURFACE.

      35 MPH ARE LIKELY. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR WIND GUSTS OF 50 TO
      60 MPH DEPENDING ON THE EXACT TRACK AND INTENSITY OF THE SYSTEM.
