The Elko County Library’s Winter Reading Program “SNOW BETTER TIME TO READ” has begun.  The reading portion of the program is free and open to children of all ages. The objective of the winter reading program is to promote the love of reading, help maintain or increase children’s reading skills, and to enable children to become more familiar with the Elko County Library.  Children will earn incentive prizes for minutes read and for written, drawn, or oral reports. When 5 reports have been completed, participants will receive a reading certificate and book bag.  The program will end at 5:00pm, January 30th.

The Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday preschool story time will continue during the winter reading program.  Also offered are a Tuesday afternoon Concoctions & Contraptions Camp and Wednesday afternoon Craft sessions.  Please call 738-3066 or stop in at the library located at 720 Court St. for full details.

The Winter Reading Program is sponsored by the Hoerger Family.
