The first year of the Nevada Youth Legislative Issues Forum was a great success. It is now time for students to apply for appointment to the Forum for the 2009-2010 school year. The Legislature welcomes applications from all eligible students.
For your information and for distribution to the students and parents who belong to your organization, I am sending you a copy of the materials for the Forum. Attached are electronic copies of: (1) the cover letter from Senator Wiener to homeschool educators; (2) S.B. 247 which created the Forum; and (3) the application for the Forum.
If you or anyone you know has questions about the application process, please contact the Constituent Services Unit of the Legislative Counsel Bureau at (775) 684-6740 or at www.leg.state.nv.us/lcb/research/CSU/feedbackmail.cfm. Also, you may obtain additional information concerning the Forum by visiting the Forum's webpage located on the Legislature's website (www.leg.state.nv.us). Thank you so much for posting this information on your website so that students who attend homeschool will learn about this opportunity to apply for the Forum.
