NDOW Wild Week Spring Break classes~ register now

The Nevada Department of Wildlife will hold its annual "Wild Week"
during Elko County School District's spring break. There will be four
days of wildlife and outdoor related programs from March 19 -22,
including such topics as birds, hunter education and wilderness survival.
Monday will be a "Day for the Birds," concentrating on birds of prey,
construction of a kestrel nest box, bird migration and a visit with a
live great-horned owl. Tuesday's topic is hunter education where
students will complete the requirements for a hunter education
certificate, which is required to obtain a hunting license if you were
born after Jan. 1, 1960.
