Explore the world this summer as the Elko County Library presents “Dig Into Reading” as the theme for their annual summer reading program.  Children will explore history, dinosaurs, fossils, rocks and minerals, burrowing animals, and lots more treasures through stories, crafts, music, and special programs.

The 2013 summer reading program will consist of 3 special groups: “Dino-Might Babies” for children 0 to 3, “Dig In Readers” for children 4 to 11, and “Beneath the Surface” for young adults 11 to 18.  Participants in each group will receive special reading logs, be able to participate in programs designed for their group, and will have the chance to earn incentive prizes, and t-shirts.

Registration for all groups will begin May 13th, so stop in at the Elko County Library located at 720 Court Street or call 738-3066 to learn more.

The “Dig Into Reading” Summer Reading Program is sponsored by Barrick Gold of North America.
