Good morning gentlemen.  I have been unsuccessful the past 2 days in sending this message off to the Assembly members - the e-mail address is not working.  Any clues?  Please advise.............thank you gentlemen.

Good morning gentlemen.  Please avail yourself for YOUR monthly Assembly meeting, Wednesday, May 15th at Room 214 at St. Joseph School.  Meeting starts with the rosary - prayer is a powerful thing - 15 minutes of prayer with your fellow Sir Knights and their Ladies is a way to give something to those in need.  When was the last time you prayed the rosary?  We invite all of you (and your Spouses) to participate - this is the Year of Evangelization - come join us!

Spouses are encouraged to join us for the rosary and are invited to the McCarthy house while the business meeting takes place - between 8 & 9 pm.  All Sir Knights are then invited for some Fraternity at the McCarthy house immediately following the meeting which has been "our custom" this past fraternal year.

During the May business meeting, YOUR new Officers for the fraternal year starting July 1, 2013 will be elected.  If there is one meeting you elect to attend this year, please make it this one - showing PHYSICAL support by your presence means a lot to your new Officers who quite frankly do the yeoman's share of work for the Assembly overall. Do not shy away from your responsibility in being a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus!

YOUR Council will also be bringing 20 new Sir Knights to the Assembly once they participate in the May 18th Exemplification in Fairfax.  I wish to remind all Sir Knights that it remains EVERYONE's responsibility to help grow the Assembly.  If you have not had an active hand this fraternal year in bringing in a new member or two, you should strongly consider showing your support for the new Knights at their exemplification.  Remember when you became a Sir Knight?  Relive the moment gentlemen!!!!  Don't remain passive...........

Your Assembly currently has approximately 225 Sir Knights of which only 10% (or approximately 23 Sir Knights) either attend the meetings or do the work of the Assembly.  You are all professionals - this is a lousy percentage!  Again, I challenge all of you to STEP IT UP.  Our demands/requests from OUR Priests and Bishop are increasing; OUR fellow Knights and Sir Knights are dying; OUR pledge to help OUR widows and orphans remains a charge to us daily......are you doing your part???

If I have gotten your attention - good!  I'd love to buy you a drink at my place after the meeting this month!

To those of you receiving this e-mail who have been "carrying the load" - Thank you from your fellow Sir Knights.  I'll certainly buy you a drink on the 15th as well!

      Vivat Jesus
