OK, I made 2 pages linked to my school site. The address is
http://www.centralscience8.com/eascience.htm.  Let me know what you
guys want on it.  I saved all my booked marked links during the
process last year and have all the books on the book list.  Just to
let you know, WizzleWolf is no longer maintaining her site.  I was
really sad to hear that, but she is moving on to more challenging
things in her life...PhD.  I emailed her to ask if I could use her
links of off my site.  If you have not ever visited her site, she had
lots of information in general and encouraged everyone to move
forward. So.. the 2 links I have are all I believe is still up and
      running.

Thanks for all the congratulatory remarks.  March on advance
candidates!!! I know it seems long.. I wanted to quit so many time
because I thought there absolutely was no way that I was going to
make the first time.  I resolved to retaking it after I left the
assessment center.  And yes I did shed some tears..... but I made
plans to retake 2 areas for sure and Entry 4 was NOT going to be one
of them no matter what.  If any of made at least 3.5-4 on it, and/or
was scorer let me know what you thought made it successful. This may
      help others along the way.

And NOW for my real name.....

      are your ready.....!!

Eleonore Dennis from Lawton, Oklahoma .... but you can just call
whatever you want... so long it's nice :)

OH MY!! Read the inspirational message that I sent. Encourage
yourself. Look at what you did well and pat yourself on the back.
You might need to see a sample of someone's portfolio to get a better
picture. I did this. It wasn't a science portfolio either. My
mentor was in special education and her husband taught English. My
paper was torn to shreds by BOTH my mentors-- red ink went every
where followed with sticky tabs to show even more. I swallowed my
pride...it was so hard to take... But I had to believe in this case
they were right and out to help me succeed.
But she was oh so helpful in every way that she let me browse
through her porfolio because I was just not well at writing,
according to my college English professors. This discouraged me so
that I found classes that required no term papers first before
anything else. I am NOT lying about this!! Maybe the English
        professor sucked!!.. I don't know.
Try not to settle for one person to judge your entries... go with
your gut. Let me say this... my mentor also said, "Eleonore, I am
lost in your video... I don't get it...what are doing?" Well, at
that point it was a one shot take. I started to worry. But I felt
strongly I was on the right track...and I didn't know what else I
        could do anyway. I didn't change a thing... I got a 4 on that
        entry.
To be honest AFTER I had done all but 1 of my entries, I thought I
did better than my friend Amy on one of them. I finally read two of
her entries in science but we had developed a long distance mutal
trust. (There can be no room for plagarism).
I guess this will be your 3rd time. Look over your original
entries. Think back to maybe what you had missed and decide on what
to change. Nonetheless stay encouraged and go ahead and try to find
some else to look over your ideas over. Thanks for the comments
about the site, I hope that it can help you out in some way.

          Eleonore,
thanks for the encouraging words. I am feeling a little overwhelmed over the weekend. Nothing like a short week (only 2 days), a 5 day weekend and 110 6th graders to put everything in perspective. If, through your web page, I can gain a support group of Science people, readers and non-readers---I feel that I am up to the challenge. I hate to have all the time, effort and $$ go down the tubes with nothing to show for it.

Oh don't worry about pride, during this process you have none. My mentor has been very useful in some areas but for the SCIENCE stuff, she admits to knowing nothing. As much as anything I think I need direction......hopefully your site will be helpful.

              Kallie,
I understand that if you decide to bank your low scores then you end up with the newest score.  It is like starting from scratch for that particular entry.
As far as the assessment center is concerned I would suggest practicing answering the questions using different scenarios.  Since you've already been there you kind of know the drill.  I struggled w/ misconceptions so I read mostly about common ones and why they were commonly misconceived.
Good luck.  I will keep you in my prayers.
