I just passed this year, and I videotaped on the side of the room.  I had to move some tables around, but there were some kids with backs to the camera, but I purposely focused on one group in particular so the camera could hear their discussions.

I videotaped for entry #3 yesterday.  The videos turned out okay in
terms of being able to hear the kids and the discussion went well.  I
am a little concerned because the kids aren't facing the camera for
most of the discussion.  The set up of my classroom won't really
enable this...we were discussing a graph on the overhead so the kids
had to be looking at it quite often and the camera was behind them.
I stood behind the kids at times so that when they talked they would
look towards the camera but it didn't happen all of the time.  Does
anyone think this will be a major issue with the assessors?

Also, some of you said we can submit copies of overhead
transparencies with our entry.  I don't see,in the instructions,
where you would attach it.  Does anyone know more information about
attaching teaching artifacts for ENTRY #3 (I see info for attaching
      artifacts in entry #1)
      Thanks,
      Jada

I believe as long as you identify the speakers in terms of what they are wearing when you write up the activity and that you can hear the children, I don't think this is a problem.

Look at your instructions for packing your box, they might have changed in the past three years, but I think you have a place to attach the teaching artifacts that go with the lesson and the overhead you used would be one of them.
