Moving between the host hotels, with the exception of the Westin, you never have to set foot on the Atlanta pavement...There are "habitrails", elevated walkways, between all of the other 4...But if you aren't in a host hotel, and are walking back, particularly at night, then stick to the buddy system...you'll run into some pretty shady characters out on the Atlanta streets. See tip 6 for another safety measure...
