      To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Richard Wright's birth, the
      Oakland Public Theater brings The Richard Wright Centennial Project
      to the Oakland Main Library on second Wednesdays in May, June and
      July. The Richard Wright Centennial Project is a series of dramatic
      readings that examine, chronicle and celebrate the life and work of
      this influential and controversial author.

      July's program, UNFINISHED QUEST, explores Wright's legacy, his
      larger body of work, and his fight for oppressed people around the
      world. Please come to this free program at Oakland's Main Library on
