- Have just acquired a sufficient quantity of Cab Sav and Merlot to fill
the fermenter (free too!) and am wondering if anyone has any tips or
tricks for extraction of the goodness. Was basically planning on
running it like my rum runs (ie a bit hotter and faster than neutral
spirits) and oaking on french oak till i "cant stands it no more".
If this is grossly incorrect, please let me know, as i plan to run
this soon so there are some winter stocks.
PS No, i still haven't had a chance to put the air cooled column
together yet, but i do now have ALL the required parts (took 6 weeks
on back order for my SS triclover to arrive!). Probably get onto it in
the mid year break, coz i have assignments and exams over the next
month interrupting my brewing creations.
