- Ive Scorched cornmeal while cooking mash. I dont like the flavor or the smell. Corn is know as a Neutral Adjunct. This means it imparts little or no flavor into the finished product. Try a small batch by cooking in the oven till golden brown. Then another till light chocolate brown.----- Original Message ----
