Yes i had a bit of a break over the Xmas period, but have now sent new
(revised and clearer) plans to the guy doing the hole cutting. Putting
12x½" pipes in the top of the 50mm column (in the space of 100mm of
column length- not the kind of thing you do with a powed drill!!),
flaring the ends, and using forced air ventilation to blow throught
the pipes. Fans will move 0.5m³ of air a minute, and the combined
surface area of the pipes (internally of the column) is 0.15m².
Colection is via a similar method to alex's 2 plate and needle valve
method (those valves arent cheap- about AU$85 for a stainless one).
Should have it together in a few weeks, but holidaying in cairns could
throw this out. Will post construction and assembled pics when
available (yes i finally got a digital camera!).
      Will keep you posted.
      cheers
