Yes I use a serialdevice from dallas semiconductor (9097-U) and their driver.
check out http://www.ibutton.com/software/tmex/index.html
I made my own software in delphi.
18s20 isn't available in Sweden as far as I know. But when it is I will change to that one.

I guess you mean Johan. I use dallas 1820. it is a marvellous circuit. It has a bulit in converter to digital and all communication is digital. It is the size of a transistor.
You can have as many as you like in parallell with each other.
take a look at www.dalsemi <http://www.dalsemi

Also Hi all,
I´m also new in this group but also not new tot the subject.
I build several installations.
Almost finish with a 50l installation.
Sorry. I am from Holland and my English is like double Dutch.
My speciality is jenever.
My questions; for John.
What kind of A/D converter you use.
And how to get a a/d converter.

I'm new in this group but not new to the subject. I'm looking forward to exchange ideas about distilling with all of you (got a few interesting ideas).
I've made a new still with reflux ratio control filled with pot cleaners and I'm about to add 10 temperature sensors along the column. The reason for this is mostly just for fun because I will be able to see the entire distilling procedure live on my computer. But I have forgotten the formula to calculate the "plate height" at a given reflux ratio. What I mean is, when I have total reflux I will know how many plates I've got in my still, but when I change the reflux ratio the plate height will increase. This is easy to calculate but I've forgot how to.
