RE: [Distillers] pitching
- Patrick you should be able to purchase the Turbos in Aussie, but dont use
Bakers Yeast. If you cant use Turbos, try using a good Champagne Yeast, with
copious quantities of Wine Yeast nutrients, which can be sourced at your
local Homebrew Shops.

Subject: [Distillers] pitching
I've just started fermenting my first EVER batch of distillate,
unfourtunately the yeast and nutrients are quite expensive!
I was wondering how you go aboubout pitching yeast so just a little goes
When pitching how do you compensate for nutrients (the brew shops I've gone
to don't sell individual bags of nutrients, and it doesn't seem economical
if I can pitch my yeast, and if there is a way to make my own nutrients).
So can someone out there please tell me how to pitch my own yeast, and how
to make my own nutrients?
also in the batch I've just started I used Super Brew,
I used 2 packets in a 50L distillate, will those 2 packets provide the
ferment with a pH of around (is it 4?)
One more question, can I use ordinary baker's yeast (for bread and stuff)?
