using lemon juice and lemon leaves.
500ml alcohol 95%bv
400g sugar (quite sweet - begin with 300g)
Zest (only the yellow part) from 6 lemons
Juice from one lemon
16 lemon leaves
(Instead of the 500ml of pure alcohol & 500ml water, you could use 1
litre of 40%abv and about 100ml of water for the sugar syrup)
Macerate the zest and lemon leaves in the alcohol for 2 weeks. Add
sugar syrup and lemon juice and let it stand for an additional day.
Filter and bottle. Age for 4 weeks. Refrigerate before use.
