BLOODY expensive down under? Well there's one for Canada I guess.
My total input cost for a batch of 18+ litres of 40% abv vodka
(government liquor store cost Can $480) is Can $30 of which $10
(including shipping) is for two packets of Gert Strand Turbo yeast
purchased from BrewHaus. The other $20 is $15 for sugar and $5 for
I guess you can concoct a brew for yeast which will cost a little
less but what's the point? This Turbo yeast is absolutely consistent
and reliable - no fuss/no muss - works every time.
My opinion FWIW
