I have used numerous sets of the carts sold by Inkjetmall for both Piezography and Cone's color inks in both a 3800 and 3880 and have had no major problems.

Curt All of the refillable carts, to my knowledge, require an original sacrificial Epson chip with the color specific reset chip over the original Epson color

By good, new resettable carts you mean the type you have to sacrifice a chip from a good ink cart for?  One of the made in China jobs with the over laying

I did use that method. His previous method of removing the cap on the end of the cart seemed like a safer way to go in terms of avoiding damage to the valve
