- Oct 17, 2013The estate keepers are actually bankers, media gatekeepers and landowners
the Saxe Coburg Gotha queen being by far the worst offender, closely followed by that a-hole murdoch
not so much the politicians many of whom are thoroughly good eggs though the cabinet is stuffed with blackmailed puppets of course
I like this one for example

Yes, I do include the starving millions. For their sake above all, we must stop wasting.
We have a professional estate-keeper class of politicians who are little more than guns for hire and whoever can bring the most pressure to bear on them, be it banks, corporations, wealthy pensioners or the client underclass, will get the handouts. It's a system of patronage for power which happens regardless of whether it's just, sustainable or for the general good, just so long as it curry's enough favour for another term in government. Meanwhile, we're eating up the earth's tangible resources at a galloping rate and creating a cash debt that is stealing from our grandchildren.
This "guaranteed income for all" idea is the worst kind of state destruction of the economy and environment. It's exactly the reason why socialist societies collapse in tyranny and ruin. Robbing Peter to pay Paul is an economic model that has been thoroughly tried and found wanting!
The function of good government is to prevent any interest group from monopolising wealth. That they are currently (epically) failing in this does not mean it becomes their job to directly control and apportion income. On the contrary, you can hardly fail to observe that massive state spending is a key contributor to the financial crisis. The right will claim that social security spending has brought us to this, the left will say it's banker bail-outs and wars. In fact, all excessive taking and spending of other people's money is causing the problem, and everyone's got their snout in the trough. In our consumer society It's not even a rich versus poor thing any more, we're all complicit

[the idea that every citizen should receive a substantial, guaranteed income, regardless of whether they'd done anything to earn it. ]
Is this plan worldwide, including the millions of starving people in africa, asia, indonesia etc?
Or part of the current economic system where we in britain live off the work of poor people in other parts of the world,
and borrow money and resources from future generations?
We are at an extraordinary crossroads of human history. Our actions, or failure to act, during the next 20 years will determine the fate of the Earth and human civilization for centuries to come. This is a make-or-break century.
Humanity's demands on the planet are growing rapidly. If we are able to make the planet and civilization work, we face a magnificent future. If we fail, we could be headed for a new Dark Age. This book describes what will make the difference.

There are massive problems in the decades ahead. The public is aware of some of the effects of global warming and climate change. There are many other megaproblems, some more dangerous or debilitating. The good news is that there are solutions.
Innovative thinking, cooperation around the world and exciting new technologies are providing answers. What is missing is appropriate education, comprehension, and political will.
Young people everywhere need charts of the worldscape ahead. They, collectively, will be responsible for the greatest transition in human history. We must teach young people to understand this century and play its complex game, They must be given the confidence to transform their lifestyles, and learn the solutions to the century's megaproblems. We can create civilizations more magnificent than anything yet conceived. We need the political will to transform our world rather than wreck it.
